My love of sewing was passed down from my mother. I first picked up a needle and thread at the age of nine when she taught me to embroider little flowers on pillow cases and tea towels - graduating to a sewing machine making small fabric projects.  

Then adult life happened and I set sewing aside to pursue a career and raise a family. I kept a lifelong love for textiles and picked up many along the way, focused on creating decorative pillows, curtains and of course a multitude of halloween costumes. 

Today, I channel a lifetime of patience and skill into handcrafting unique, enduring bags. My design approach pairs the rich character of pre-loved items with the strength of new components. Blending history and modern utility by combining reclaimed pieces like vintage garments, wool blankets, dead-stock textiles, leather, and antique finds with new, sustainable materials and structural hardware - crafted in my gypsy wagon sewing studio.
